Annalei Santos took over the first quarter as she bullied her way inside the paint where she showcased her post-up moves creating space to put up eight consecutive points.

Fiesta struggled to gain momentum but did manage to break the silence thanks to Quina Flores and Mikki Kautz’s buckets.

However their forced shots turned into fast break opportunities for the Ol’Aces’ Eleina Santos and Alliyah Fernandez to finish at the other end extending their lead 12-5.

Fiesta was able to slow down the tempo during the second quarter reducing their production to just eight points but suffered the same results to keep them trailing by halftime.

Even with Fiesta successfully stopping Ol’Aces’ top scorer Eleina Santos, Alliyah Santos stepped up to keep them under control. She made each shot count sinking three straight buckets around the perimeter holding on for Santos to regain rhythm adding six more points to secure the double digit spread 38-27.

Ol’Aces seemed to have the win in the bag but Fiesta was not going down without a fight.

Fiesta made use of Ol’Aces’ missed shots turning trash into gold. Cassandra Camacho started off the run with the first layup followed by two triples to cut down the deficit.

Fiesta gave a good scare but their run was cut short as Fernandez and Eleina Santos delivered at the clutch to grasp the win in game 2 forcing one final match today.
