Santos bags two MVP titles

COBY Santos made an impact throughout the 2018 Francisco M. Diaz Memorial Youth Basketball League U18 Division as one of Ol’ Aces’ main offensive players who carried the team to a perfect record leading to the championship.

Santos could do it all, scored from behind the three-point line, finishing strong inside, and produce second chance buckets aiding in the Ol’ Aces dominance of the games.

His consistency and efficiency led to unquestionable award of season most valuable player.

He did not stop there as he proved his worth during the finals game against the 670 Sonics XVIII. It was his clutch shot that erased all hopes for the Sonics after draining the much-needed triple to regain the lead at the final quarter.

It was with his help that Ol’ Aces found their second wind late-game leading to the victory with 17 points. With that, he bagged his second individual title as the finals MVP to add to his collection with the Ol’ Aces’ championship trophy.

The Ol’ Aces had another trophy to add as they also claimed the Pennant Champion award for the icing on the cake.

The 670 Sonics XVI joined the award ceremony taking the fourth place seat while CT Law Rollers nipped the third place seat and the 670 Sonics XVIII for second place.
