Lee’s 7-6(3), 6-3 win over Anastasia Berezov was culmination of her one-year hard work as she prepared to come back to the annual event, after her quarter finals loss to Australia’s Megan Smith last year.

The No. 4 seeded Lee will play in the semi finals and face seven-seeded Australia’s Annerly Poulos who survived No. 2 Megan Smith, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

If she wins today, she will meet either the top-seeded New Zealand’s Valentia Ivanov who deominated Elys Saguil-Ventura, 6-1, 6-4 or No. 3 Australia’s Amber Marshall in the championship match.

The 16-year old CNMI’s junior player made it to the quarter finals by defeating her unseeded foe, Australia’s Roopa Bains, 6-2, 6-0 in Round 2, and New Zealand’s Ema Miyaura, 6-4, 6-4 in the opening match.
