Brotherhood Basketball League set for Sept. 1

THE organizers of the 2018 Emon Lodge No. 179 Brotherhood Basketball League are ready to kick off the event at the Koblerville Basketball Gym on September 1, Saturday at 6:00 p.m. with IT&E as the major sponsor of this league.

A total of 10 teams have shown interest so far in the Emon Masonic Lodge caging including Armatech, MJD, BlueHaus, Pacific Islands Club, Kensington Hotel, Kanoa Resort, Island Rent-A-Car, Cell Pro, PEGS/ JWS and Pacific Postal.

The EML caging will be played every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The league is a mixed division 40 above (masters) and 39 under included.

All teams are allowed to have only 15 players on their roster, 10 of which consist of 40 above and five falling under the U39. Representatives/coaches of participating teams are asked to list the complete names of their players and their chosen team color. Teams should also provide organizers with a photocopy of registration and waiver forms filled up by each player.

During a game, only two U39 players are able to fill the court while three masters player complete the five-man roster.

Game schedule and other details of the league will be discussed once organizers have already received registration forms from interested teams.

On another note, all coaches and team representatives are invited to attend the meeting today, at McDonalds. It will take place to finalize the details of the opening.
