THE Grace Christian Academy Eagles 1 continued to dominate the 2018-2019 Commonwealth Coalition of Private Schools Association Volleyball League as they remained undefeated collecting their 12th win over Saipan International School 25-22, 25-14 held at Saipan International School court.

The first set was exciting as SIS gave a good fight staying in control.

Dylan Mister led the pack with countless spikes which GCA Eagles 1 failed to protect in time pushing a comfortable spread. With the help of his teammates, the team kept the momentum flowing by diving for each ball and aiming for the strong finish 20-18.

However the Eagles GCA 1 was not going to let the SIS Geckos slip away as they came back during the last few possessions of the set.

Katriel Saures stepped up with powerful overhead serves and spikes which SIS could not handle letting the lead fall from their hands 22-21.

More of the same was seen from the Eagles GCA 1 as they used the three-touch strategy to its fullest ending each one with a spike to grasp the first set 25-22.

The SIS Geckos started to fall into a drought during the second set as they could not find an answer to GCA’s constant spikes. Eubin Park was given the spotlight from the serving line pulling eight consecutive aces for the 16-6 gap.

SIS finally got a break as Mister regained momentum finishing for a couple of points but eventually fell to defeat 25-14 for their 12th straight win.
