McDonald’s bags debut win over Best Deal/RNV, 111-91

MCDONALD’S are off to a great start in the 2018 JP World Corp Customer Appreciation Invitational Basketball Tournament after posting their first win last Saturday over Best Deal/RNV 111-91 at the Tan Siu Lin Sports Complex.

McDonald’s’ well-balance team was their key to victory as they opened up a handful of shot opportunities from start to finish.

Jun Fidelino and Jaymark DeGuzman stood at the frontline executing the fast break plays. De Guzman continued to deliver as he carried the team with 17 points alone aiding in their near double-digit lead by the end of the opening quarter 34-25.

The lead continued to grow as McDonalds gave no room to breathe with constant pressure defense. Mike Achas joined in the assault alongside Mclain Achas and Joseph Achas while De Guzman picked Best Deal’s pockets to put them at a comfortable double-digit distance.

Best Deal’s biggest comeback was seen during the third canto.

Ronald Rueda stepped up staying consistent from around the perimeter. With the help of Andy Mortos and Ryan Odicta, the team was able to cut down the deficit back within single digits 87-76.

Despite Best Deal’s return McDonald’s held their ground during their final stand. Fidelino broke out at the final quarter with nine points pairing up with Mclain Achas inside to lock in the win 111-91.

TanHoldings 2 79, Coca-cola 66

Tan Holdings 2 are not far from their brethren TanHoldings 1 as they bagged their first win over Coca-Cola 79-66.

Tan Holdings 2’s led the pack as he used his strength to get inside. His 10 points in the first quarter was enough to keep them ahead 22-16 while the rest of the team kept the momentum going throughout the second canto to push distance.

Coca-Cola tried to stay within reach with Alvander Pua and Edward Armia leading the second half with a combined 23 points but TanHoldings 2 had an answer for every shot which led to the double-digit victory 79-66.

Triple J also joined the celebration as they established dominance over MJD Construction 100-61.
