PIC Sports and Events Manager Keoni Ichihara said the damages left behind by Super Typhoon Yutu in PIC was so huge it requires lots of resources and manpower to put the resort back in good shape.

Ichihara said they will have to cancel the annual Bike & Run for Life this year, as well as the in-house event, dodge ball.

Bike & Run for Life which drew over 100 participants a year was supposed to be held on Nov. 23. The event comprises of 50-kilometer road and mountain bike race, 20-kilomter fun ride and a 5-kilometer run.

A number of people have already registered for the event that is why PIC will have to contact them to inform the cancelation of the event.

“We apologize of the inconvenience. Due to the huge damage of typhoon we have to cancel all the remaining sports events this year,” Ichihara said adding that PIC continues its commitment to NMI sports by moving ahead with all the sports next year.
