The season would have ended three months ago but the finals were delayed by Super Typhoon Yutu that hit the islands on Oct. 24.

CCOPSA’s John S. Blanco announced on Monday, the new schedule of the long-delayed finals.

Trophies will be awarded immediately after the end of the championship game, Blanco said in an email.

“The games will finally be realized after the originally scheduled games were canceled back on October 23 due to school cancellations leading up Super Typhoon Yutu. Hope to see you all there,” Blanco said.

The GCA Eagles 1 clinched the championship slot by dominating the MCS Knights 25-13, 25-18, while the ACS Torchbearers 1 outlasted the GCA Eagles 2, 25-21, 12-25, 15-9 in the semis late in October.

Players to watch include Katriel Saures and Soleil Lamar who delivered for the GCA Eagles with five straight spikes to help secure the championship berth.

For the ACS Torchbearers 1, Bao Heng and David Zheng helped their team advance to the finals.
