SIS pounds GCA 51-34

SIS was dominant from the start as their defense was nearly impenetrable. The height of AJ Hudkins denied any shots from within the paint while the pressure around the perimeter forced GCA to take shots from afar. SIS used each successful stop with fast break runs led by Hudkins’ seven points alongside Kuu gaining the double digit lead 13-4.

GCA tried to get out of the drought as Steven Balakrishna played more aggressively putting up three points with Marckey Masilungan and Sam Ryu contributing a bucket each but it was still not enough to erase the gap. SIS continued to attack with Kuu at the front with four points while Vincent Guo and Ren Muna cleaning up the mess to remain in control of the double digit spread.

GCA stuck out once again during the third quarter as team only made four points handing SIS the chance to push the distance. They biggest run came at the final quarter. Lance Tumalad caught on fire from beyond the arc sinking three consecutive triples with Balakrishna and SeungJun Baek keeping up with a combined 10 points.

However it was still not enough to make a comeback as SIS’ Hudkins and Kuu maintained efficiency nearly outscoring SIS’ team points to claim the win 51-34.
