3-way tie for third place in SBA Thursday League

BRANNON’S DECM Wizards, Amari’s Titans and Amari’s IT&E Homeboyz are currently in a 3-way battle for the third place seat of the 2019 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball Thursday League after all coming out victorious against their opponents last Thursday held in separate locations.

DECM Wizards had the toughest battle of the three as they had to hold on tight to defeat Amari’s MJD Warriors 7-6.

Both teams exchanged blows as equals as they split the first two matches evenly to hold a deadlock of 3-3.

It was not until the Singles 8-Ball match where Wizards took control. The one-on-one battle of Senen, Albert and Lito was enough to grab the win pulling a 3-1 run over Warriors 6-4.

Warriors fought back aiming to even the score but Wizards held their ground splitting the following Partners 8-Ball match which was enough to secure the win 7-6.

Amari’s IT&E Homeboyz had a much easier battle against Brannon’s Grill winning by a huge margin of 10-3.

Homeboyz were on a roll from start to finish as they only lost one round of the opening Singles 8-Ball match and continued to stretch the gap with a 2-win sweep for a 5-1 lead. Brannon’s Grill could only slip in two more wins but could not escape the inevitable defeat 10-3.

9Eleven Predators also joined the winners’ circle after taking down VFW Assassins 8-5.

After an even two matches, Predators secured the lead with a 3-1 run at the Singles 8-Ball match. VFW gave it their all to recover but was left in the dust as they failed to grab the last two matches settling for the defeat 8-5.

9Eleven Mellow Touch also joined the celebration after outscoring Amari’s Bridge Capital 7-6 along with top team 9Eleven Club 88 BlackBall who triumphed over Sands Team SCS 10-3.
