MARIANAS High School 1 is currently in control of the 2019 Public School System High School Boys Volleyball League held at the Marianas High School gym after triumphing in all four of their games last Friday for the 4-0 record.

Marianas High School’s teamwork was their greatest strength as they constantly set up each other for the spike finishes outperforming their opponents by double digits for the first place seat.

MHS 1 started off against Kagman High School where they quickly took control. Spaeth, Castro and Mister displayed their firepower as they never slowed down delivering spike after spike. At first KHS stayed on their toes returning shots but gradually lost sync and ended up bowing down to MHS 1 25-15.

MHS prolonged their dominance as their smart and aggressive plays handed Saipan Southern High School the loss 25-9 for two consecutive wins. They did not stop there as they triumphed against their brethrens MHS 25-9 and MHS 3 25-14 to end the day with the perfect 4-0 record.

KHS, despite the opening loss, bounced back as they nipped the remaining three wins. Their first win was against SSHS where they eased their way to a 25-15 victory. They kept their heads high as they maintained their streak barely escaping the hands of MHS 2 25-22 and collecting their third win over MHS 3 25-18 to hold the second place seat with a 3-1 record.

MHS 2 sits at third place with a 2-2 record taking down SSHS 25-20 and MHS 3 25-17.

MHS 3 managed to end the day with at least one win with the victory over SSHS 25-18 while SSHS sits at the bottom with no wins hoping to break the curse in their next meet which will be held this Friday, May 24th at the MHS gym.
