5-peat for MPU

MP United Football Club continues to reign supreme in the U18 division as they have earned their 5th straight championship title after taking down the U15 Boys National Team to remain undefeated and claim the championship title of this year’s 2019 Spring Youth League held at the NMI Soccer Training Center.

MPU established control early in the game as they fired their first goal just 10 minutes into the game made by Kaden Church. The U15 National Team tried to answer back but only delayed MPU from adding their second goal thanks to SunJoon Tenorio slicing his way at the 19th minute for the 2-0 lead.

The U15NT had a tough time but continued to show effort slipping a few shots. However their efforts were in vain as MPU could not be stopped adding five more goals during the second half.

Kwang Jo Kim joined the scoreboard connecting a shot at the 49th mark while Tenorio fired two more goals to extend the gap. It did not stop there as Dai Podziewski contributed two goals while shutting down U15NT 7-0.

Kanoa Football Club managed to end the season in a good note as they improved their record with two wins after stunning Matansa Football Club 3-0.

It was a close match at first as both teams took turns attacking. It was only at the 30th mark where KNFC finally broke the silence with Sebastien Manabat finishing strong the end the first half with the lead.

KNFC carried their momentum onto the second half as Andruw Omelau took over. His speed was unmatched as he blew through defenders sinking a shot at the +24th minute and another just three minutes after while MFC remained silenced for the win 3-0.
