Predators, Club 88 BlackBall tie for first in SBA Thursday League

9ELEVEN Predators and 9Eleven Club 88 BlackBall are currently vying for the top spot in the Thursday division of the 2019 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League as they have triumphed last Thursday improving their records to 100 wins to sharing first place.

Predators did not have to lurk around to mark their prey as they established dominance from the start to take down Amari’s IT&E Homeboyz 8-5.

Even with Homeboyz’s Rico drawing first blood at the opening round of the Singles 8-Ball match, Predators quickly fired back claiming the remaining three rounds to take the lead 3-1.

As a team it was no different for Predators as they were unstoppable pulling a clean 2-win sweep to further extend the deficit.

Homeboyz did give a good scare pulling a 3-1 run of their own at the second Singles 8-Ball match. However their hopes were erased as they could not keep up the teamwork falling to Predators’ second sweep of the night which secured the win for them 8-5.

Club 88 BlackBall also made their way to the top after gunning down Amari’s MJD Warriors 9-4.

It was BlackBall’s strong start that kept them in control as Rey, Rodel, Joef and Randy found their stroke early pulling a 4-win sweep at the opening Singles 8-Ball match.

MJD Warriors managed to break the silence grabbing a two wins in the next two matches and even swiped two consecutive win but acted a little too late there were not enough rounds to support their comeback settling for defeat to the hands of Black Ball 9-4.

A more notable victory came from Amari’s Titans who rallied past Brannon’s DECM Wizards to snatch the win 7-6.

Titans seemed to be down in the dumps as they were nearly silenced 1-3 at first. But as soon as they gathered momentum they never looked back.

Starting at the Partners 8-Ball match, Titans came out with a sweep and followed up with a 3-1 run of their own to take control 6-4. DECM Wizards tried to deny Titans the final win needed but only managed to split the second Partners 8-Ball match going down with a fight 7-6.

Brannon’s Grill also made their way to the winners’ circle after defeating Amari’s Bridge Capital 8-5.
