CNMI team heads to training camp in Philippines

THE Northern Mariana Islands Football Association will be sending a total of 27 players off to Philippines this Saturday for a training camp at Tuloy Bosco from June 22nd to July 11th in preparation for the Marianas Cup to be held in Guam on July 20th and an East Asia Football Federation event for the U15 girls held in Korea on August.

The squad that will be leaving are a mix of U19 Women’s National Team consisting of Angelica Carreon, Britany Wally, Guinevere Borja, Angelina Villagomez, Emalyn Aniana, Jerlyn Castillo, Katrina Costales, Khristelle Itaas, Winneb Echavez, Jenny Capayas, Lillian Podziewski and Sharmaine Francisco. The other half is filled with the U15 Girls team. Stephanie Flores, Allyssya Angeles, Maryjoy Aniana, Aubrey Castro, Audrey Castro, Julie Capayas, Summer Manahane, Rizza Relucio, Pai Ngewakl, Andrei Chavez, along with Julianne Hall, Marinel Falalimpa, Jannah Casarino, Christina Atalig and Gianna Griffin.

Following the squad is Head Coach Luam Khen Koo, Assistant Manager Yu Hung Lee, Assistant Coach Chi Ming Tang, Team Manager/Assistant Coach Mae Angelie Ito, Assistant Coach Lalaine Pagarao and Physiotherapist Hazel Mabasa.

“We need all the opportunities to play against teams from off-island to help our players gain experience. Going off-island always means that our girls can learn something from their opponents.” said Head Coach Luam Khen Koo.
