THE CNMI Swimming Team displayed their abilities in the water giving the competition a good fight but ended empty handed as they were short a few placements from bringing a medal back home after the conclusion of the swimming event of the 2019 Pacific Games last Saturday at the Samoa Aquatic Centre, Samoa.

In the preliminary round David Roberto, Lennosuke Suzuki, Jinju Thompson, Juhn Tenorio and Aika Watanabe all made the list. However when it came to the finals, none of the CNMI bets could make it to the top three for any medals.

Jhun Tenorio competed in the Men’s 200 LC Meter Backstroke where he placed 6th with a time of 2:26.63 while Aika Watanabe was the closest to tasting a medal as she placed 5th in the Women’s 200 LC Meter Backstroke.
