Bulls Hitters upset Hella Darty 9-6

JONNY’S Bulls Hitters continue to make their presence known in the 2019 SEDA Bud Light Dart League-C Division as they took down top-ranked 6JMS Hella Darty, 9-6, on Wednesday at Jonny’s Bar.

The Bulls Hitters took control early as Tanner Maratita, Ian Serrano and Val Naputi opened up the 301 match with three victories with Hella Darty’s Jared Ayuyu topping the remaining round to deny the sweep.

Hella Darty was not going down so easily as Jared Ayuyu and Angel Palacios, alongside Stan Ngalen and Sammy Litulumar, fired back with a 2-win sweep in the following Partners Crazy Cricket match to even the score 3-3.

The Bulls Hitters tried to regain the lead as Maratita and Jarrett Matsutaro worked well as a pair to take the first round in the Partners 501 match, but Ngalen and Daniel Kaipat recovered to split the match.

But when it came to the one-on-one action, the Bulls Hitters held the advantage. Maratita, Serrano and Naputi delivered once again to pull another 3-1 run and a comfortable 8-5 lead. Hella Darty tried to hang on but could not pull a comeback. The Bulls Hitters won, 9-6.

Third-ranked Drew’s Balaku’s also joined the winner’s circle after powering past the Oleai Re-Darts 10-5.

After splitting the opening match, Balaku’s managed to grasp the upperhand thanks to its players’ chemistry as they swept the Partners Crazy Cricket match. They then pulled another two-win sweep in the following Partners 501 match to stretch the gap, 6-2.

The Re-Darts tried to keep up but only Jason Reyes could place a bump in Balaku’s path. Balaku’s won anyway, 10-5.

The 6JMS Dart Knights, for their part, edged Drew’s Hit & Run, 8-7, while Drew’s Redarted snatched the win against Jonny’s Feelin’ Lucky, 8-7.
