The Aces gave the Mystique BBQ Grillers a beating, 103-65. From start to finish, the Aces were in total control. Their defense and offense were well-balanced as Coby Santos and Douglas Schmidt smothered the floor with countless steals which led to easy buckets on the other end. Aiferson Atan stood at the frontline in the opening quarter with six points while Santos and Frank Bondoc added extra firepower with four points apiece for a 19-12 lead.

The Grillers fought back in the second canto as Gio Dancel found his range from behind the three-point line, sinking two shots while Ronald Bernardo, Li’i Tekopua and Gerald Rivera chipped in a few makes of their own to cut down the deficit.

But the Aces managed to maintain the safe distance thanks to Douglas Schmidt’s never-ending energy as he slashed his way inside with six points along with one bucket from beyond the arc to end the first half 38-30, Aces in the lead.

After the halftime break, the Aces were stronger than ever as they extended the gap to double digits. Santos was nearly unstoppable as he scored back-to-back buckets carrying his team with 12 points which was more than enough, but Preston Basa also heated up from the three-point line, sizzling two shots, and Zach Diaz used his height to punish the Grillers from inside with six points to further stretch the Aces’ lead 74-49.

No matter what the Grillers threw at them, the Aces always had an answer on the other end. And in the end, it was a 40-point blowout victory for the Aces, 103-65.

Caravan Marauders 112, Aqua Resort Club Ballers 55

The Caravan Marauders managed to redeem themselves from a recent loss against the IT&E Explorers by running over the Aqua Resort Club Ballers by over 50 points, 112-55.

The Ballers, who only had six players, could not prevent the Marauders from establishing dominance in the first quarter. Ken Viray and Josh Andrews led with a combined 14 points while Alex Standish, Patrick Rotap and Prince Factor picked up six points each in the second canto for a 63-30 Marauders spread.

The Ballers tried their best but fatigue started to show as they only made seven team points in the third canto. Mark Ferrer was the team’s main source of points as he lit up the scoreboard in the final quarter with 12 points, but he did not get the help needed from the rest of the team. For their part, the Marauders pushed the deficit even further and took the win with ease 112-55.
