The As’Guardians’ early lead gave them the upper hand in the first set, thanks to their communication and teamwork. Mike Omar, RJ Litulumar and Don Cabrera covered the ground well to keep the possession alive. Using all three touches, the team was able to set up Alfredo Guevarra for continuous spikes to gain a five-point lead. But D’Challengers fought back, diving for the ball and hustling. In the end, however, the As’Guardians stayed focus and finished the first set with a comfortable 25-18 victory.

In the second set, D’Challengers fought harder. Alken Ege, Dick Tibayan and Sweet Camama stood their ground and returned the possession with care, forcing the As’Guardians to commit mistakes. But as it came down to the final few turns, D’Challengers failed to keep up defensively as the As’Guardians relentlessly pushed for the kill to notch the win in the second set and the match 25-23.

In the other matches, the Ol’Aces slipped past the Revengers 25-20, 25-21; We Are Groot stunned Straight Outta Nowhere 24-26, 25-17, 15-13; and the Black Panthers brought down Iron Spike 25-15, 25-12.
