Docomo gave a good fight in the first half of the game despite a shortage of players. Tony Diaz and Shane Deleon Guerrero were in charge in the opening quarter, scoring nine and seven points respectively as their team trailed by just one point, 16-17.

In the second quarter, fatigue started to show on Docomo’s end, forcing the rest of the team to chip in buckets and give Diaz and Deleon Guerrero time to catch their breath. Kevin McCale made it up to the scoreboard along with William Grow, but without their main scorers, their team’s deficit continued to grow.

Sean Robasto orchestrated Top Development’s continuous run as he not only dished out the ball, but contributed half of the points in the second quarter alone, and added 11 more points in the third canto to give his team a double-digit lead, 65-55.

But Docomo’s Deleon Guerrero regained momentum, using his speed to find his way to the rim while Alverick Alvarez and Conrad Sablan stepped up late in the final quarter to cut Top Development’s lead.

However, Docomo’s hopes were quickly erased as Nestor Arreza caught on fire, draining 12 points, all coming from perimeter jump shots, to secure the win for Top Development, 98-85.

TanHoldings 1 102, Hawaiian Rock 68

TanHoldings 1 gave Hawaiian Rock a beating on Friday.

The barrage of buckets started as soon as the whistle blew with Mark Obnerga and Arjay Nonato sharing 17 points to give their team the lead, 27-9. Although Hawaiian Rock finally found its rhythm in the second quarter, its players had to work twice as hard just to get back in the game. Vamfes Reyes and Dondi Pulga were the team’s only two players able to penetrate, but their output was not enough.

TanHoldings never looked back as it further stretched its lead to pulverize Hawaiian Rock, 102-68.
