The Champinos were victorious thanks to their individual performances that set the tone early to send 6JMS Just The Tip packing, 8-6.

It was a fairly even match for most of the night as both teams split the opening Partners 501 match, 1-1. But when it came to one-on-one action, the Champinos held the advantage. Tristan and Jeff Javier consistently hit their marks beating Just The Tip’s Dan Omar and Jess Salas while Russ Cruz collected three consecutive wins before Frankie Muna could stop the bleeding.

It was a little too late for Just The Tip as the Champinos only had to focus on holding their ground in the remaining matches and they did just that.

For the next three matches, the Champinos split each round successfully to eliminate Just The Tip, 8-6.

The Thunder Darts Impact or TDI displayed their control as they barely gave the 6JMS 90 Proofers room to breathe. TDI won, 8-3.

This time it was teamwork that highlighted the match as TDI quickly clinched the opening round for a 2-0 start. The 90 Proofers tried to answer back but could only split the Singles Cricket match before falling to another sweep in the Partners 701 match.

It did not take long before TDI grabbed the last two wins needed to eliminate the 90 Proofer and set up the title match with the Champinos.
