PSS co-ed elementary volleyball tournament starts this Saturday

THE Public School System will kick off the 2019-2020 Interscholastic Co-Ed Elementary Volleyball Tournament starting on Saturday at Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School and Oleai Elementary School.

The tournament is for 4th and 5th graders and will be held every Saturday for three weeks.

The competition’s Pool A is at GTC while Pool B is at Oleai. PSS will set up three nets at each venue.

The schools in Pool A will compete with each other on Nov. 23 and Dec. 7. They are Kagman Elementary School, GTC, Garapan Elementary School, Grace Christian Academy 1 and 2.

In Pool B are OES, William S. Reyes Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, Saipan International School, Mount Carmel School and Saipan Community School

The tournament is a round-robin competition and each match is up to 25 points with a cap at 30 points.

Results from the first two rounds of the competition will determine the playoff standing of each school.

The “Middle Seed” will be reserved for the participating elementary students from Tinian and Rota if they can attend the championship game.

PSS will provide breakfast and lunch to all participating students.
