Gilbert Gatmaitan dominates Masters Division with 4 awards

GILBERT Gatmaitan, who led the 6JMS Mafia to the regular championship and the Bud Light Cup title, was recognized for his performance throughout the 2019 season of the SEDA Dart League, earning four individual awards during the awards banquet on Sunday at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club.

The Masters Division consists of the best players in the league, and among them is Gatmaitan — the best of the best. He earned the Hi-In Award, the Hi-Out Award and the Top Gun Award. He was also named the Most Valuable Player in the Masters Division.

Winning the Hi-In Award in the C Division was Alfred Saures; in the Tuesday B Division, Richard Santos; in the Thursday B Division, Tanner Maratita; and in the A Division, Gigi “Don Badong” Gatmaitan.

The other Hi-Out awardees are C Division’s Stan Ngalen; Tuesday B Division’s Gaius Gille; Thursday B Division’s Sim Iramk; and A Division’s Jesse Villar.

Also receiving the Top Gun Award were Stan Ngalen; Tuesday B Division’s Kenneth Kaneshi; Thursday B Division’s Orly Paconian; and A Division’s Derick Ayuyu.

Tanner Maratita is the MVP in the C Division with a 100 percent win rate. Bobby De Leon claimed the Tuesday B Division MVP award while Kuling Villagomez in the Thursday B Division and Derick Ayuyu in the A Division were likewise named MVPs.

Also honored on Sunday were the players who were promoted to a higher rank: Stan Ngalen, Russ Cruz, Ian Serrano, Mike Ito, Ryan Manglona, Tanner Maratita, Melvin Gallardo, Zack Cruz, Ken Palec, Augustin Hocog, Jared Ayuyu, Toby Castro, Gaius Gille, Kenneth Kaneshi, Orly Paconlan and Bobby De Leon.

In addition, Marpac, Jonny’s Bar & Grill and Team Proofers were honored by the league for their continued support.
