THE Marianas High School Dolphins and Mount Carmel School Knights kept racking up the victories as the 2014-15 MISO Girls Volleyball League moved on to the second day at the Marianas High School Gym last Tuesday.

The MHS Varsity stuck to the three-touch strategy which stayed in their favor and they were able to set up a few good spikes that the Ayuyus had a hard time defending.

In the first set the Ayuyus had struggled further.

Things started to look better in the second set as the Ayuyus finally started to play more aggressively with blocked shots. They were also able to defend and retaliate.

Despite the effort MHS V still came out victorious 25-19 followed by another win to pull a clean sweep 15-6.

The Knights shared the same feat against the Saipan Southern High School Mantas. They played strong defense as they were able to keep the ball alive on their end of the court and attack with a few hits a misses.

MCS V came out victorious with a clean sweep 25-12, 25-18, 15-6.

The Saipan International School Geckoes joined the winner’s circle as they handed KHS V their second loss of the day. The Geckos had a few miscommunications giving KHS V some easy points but KHS V suffered greatly as they could not keep the ball alive.

SIS V had an easy first set 25-12.

In the second set the Ayuyus had a better game as they were able to set up a few plays but the Geckos SIS V stayed ahead of and took the win 25-19, 15-2.

The Grace Christian Academy Eagles earned a win as well as they handing SSHS V their second loss 25-13, 25-11, 15-12 while their little sister team SSHS JV grabbed the win against MCS JV 25-18, 25-20, 15-11 and MHS JV took down SIS JV 25-14, 25-11, 15-9.
