After an evaluation of resumes’ and other documents submitted by the election committee, the Little League International broke the tie between Ada and Tony Rogolifoi.

On Friday last week, NMI Little League district election chairman, Robert Guerrero received an email from the Little International informing him of their decision to select Ada as the DA for the 2016 Little League season.

Soon, the Little League International will send a letter to the NMI district election committee to formally declare Ada as the new DA.

The Little League International’s election information in its Website provides for election procedures.

According to the Website, “When neither of the above procedures result in a league election Little League International reserves the right to appoint a district administrator. This is also the case when the unexpired term for a District Administrator must be filled. Headquarters, at its discretion, may conduct an election to fill the unexpired term, or may appoint a successor to fill the balance of the term.”

District election vice-chairman AJ Murig in an interview said the election of DA took place during the Asia-Pacific Middle East Regional Tournament here a few months ago.

Saipan’s Guerrero and Ed Kapileo of Rota Little League were the voting members of the election committee. After the election, Ada and Rogolifoi got one vote each.

The deadlock had to be resolved by the Little League International, by evaluating the resumes’ and documents of the two DA candidates.

Ada was NMI Little League DA in the past before he was succeeded by Mike Borja prior to the opening of the 2015 season.
