THE Mount Carmel School Knights gave the Grace Christian Academy Eagles a beating ending the semi final bout with a double-digit victory during last Wednesday’s game of the 2016 Coalition of Private School Sports Association Boys Basketball League at the MCS court.
The Knights breezed through the game with a high-paced tempo led by Mark Toves and Muna.
During the first quarter the Eagles did not let the home court advantage be a problem as Libut sizzled six points along side Hinson who dropped five points, one coming from beyond the arc.
But as they moved onto the second canto, the Eagles suddenly fell into an offensive drought.
The MCS Knights’ half-court pressure defense kept the Eagles guessing while throwing shots and several turnovers. The Knights fed off their mistakes with Muna on the frontline with six fast break points.
Their defense was nearly flawless as they kept the Eagles to just six points on the second and third quarters while the lead continued to grow.
Warren Ellama stayed consistent with eight points while Gurab’s four points finished off the final quarter to take down the Eagles 61-22.
