SOUTH Korean MMA prospect and Road FC veteran Seung Yeon “Keyboard Warrior” Kim is currently on Saipan for a period of three weeks.
Kim is currently scheduled to face Bellator and UFC veteran and storied knockout artist Melvin Guillard at Road FC 36 on February 11.
While Kim has spent the bulk of his preparation in his native Korea with his team SSABI MMA and shall conclude it there. He intends to make the most of the resources that the Trench Tech facility has to offer.
The “Keyboard Warrior” is a rising celebrity in his homeland and garnered his nickname by brashly calling opponents out via social media in order to goad them into accepting fights. The novelty of his character is something akin to what current UFC star Connor McGregor has become known for.
Guillard is a veteran of 53 professional MMA fights with 21 of his victories coming by way of KO. He holds a significant experience advantage over the 2-1 Kim and will most certainly be the stiffest test of the latter’s young career.
The two are set to face each other as part of Road FC’s lightweight tournament, which is rumored to have a total of 32 participants.
Be sure to stay tuned and keep reading for updates as more information on Kim and his training experience in Saipan becomes available.
