Joeten were simply outmatched as they built a strong lead to cruise to victory over Docomo, 79-55.

Joeten played strong from the start with Ivan De Vero on the frontline picking off several fast break opportunities collecting 11 points to seize control, 23-9.

Docomo picked up their defense during the second half s preventing most of Joeten’s run-and-gun plays. But they failed to break passed Joeten’s pressure defense.

Only Melvin Manibusan could power through the paint but could not gain enough momentum keeping them behind by a double digit deficit.

Joeten carried their offensive rhythm onto the second half as De Vero and Kelvin Fitial attacked at will.

Docomo snapped out of the offensive drought as Manibusan continued to bring damage from under the rim but still had a lot of ground to cover settling for the loss over Joeten 79-55.

TDI 77, WSTCO 72

Top Development Inc. joined the winners’ circle escaping with the victory over WSTCO 77-72 during the second game of the night.

It was work of TDI’s dynamic duo Raymond Velasco and Allen Reyes who had consistent output that kept the team in control.

Their continuous slashes lured WSTCO to committing a handful of fouls early in the game as they chipped in shot after shot to grasp the lead 23-16.

Dan Iliahi was the only player keeping WSTCO alive as he could barely miss carrying 24 points through three quarters but TDI’s Velasco and Reyes kept up with his streak keeping an eight point lead.

WSTCO started to rally during the final quarter as Abel Landicho added extra arsenal dropping six points but Reyes’ late game act kept TDI in front leading to the victory 77-72.
