NMI/DYS Rollers pound Northside Wolves, 73-59

The Northside Wolves had a promising start as they kept up with the NMI/DYS Rollers during the first quarter.

It was the work of Daryl Soriano and Duncan Laxa’s consistency on the offensive side that kept up alive contributing a combined 10 points to trail by just two points 12-14.

But as soon as the NMI/DYS Rollers got their rhythm flowing, the Northside Wolves were nowhere to be seen.

June Tengco connected three consecutive buckets with Jun Fidelino and Joseph Kisa right beside him to push the lead, 45-28.

Northside Wolves’ Laxa tried to keep the team in the fight but his efficiency alone was not enough to bring them back within reach as Manny Cobacha and Angelo Factor took over the third canto to maintain the 20 point deficit.

Even with the Northside Wolves’ successfully slowing down the NMI/DYS Rollers’ assault, they could not hold a steady offensive pace settling for defeat 73-59.
