Saipan Elite did what they do best and that was play like elites with constant pressure to maintain control throughout the game.

Merrick Toves, Oliver Fajardo and Rintaro Miyawaki led the pack continuously moving the ball around to work their way past HK SSS’ defensive line opening up three consecutive attacks to take the lead 3-0.

HK SSS tried to find redemption forcing the ball deep within Saipan Elite’s territory in hopes to even the score, but failed to act in time as their momentum was disrupted every single time keeping them silent.

The Saipan Elite carried their rhythm over to the second half as they continued to fire with ease. Toves, Fajardo and Miyawaki maintained efficiency contributing two goals each pushing a comfortable distance.

HK SSS used Saipan Elite’s aggressive takes to their advantage as Joshua Moilig and Dylan Kim quickly turned the tables to catch them off guard firing two goals through the net to get some weight off their team’s back.

But despite HK SSS’ efforts, the Saipan Elite held control as Oliver Lee joined in with the lone goal to keep them out of reach taking the win 8-2.

In the U17 Girls Division fourth seed Marianas Health Armada had a close call but Marinel Falalimpa pulled through with the critical shot in the second half to defeat top seed Hakone Football Club 2-1.

As for the U12 Coed division, SSS’ strong start gave them the edge holding down Kanoa Football Club 1’s late game rally to triumph 7-5.
