Team SCS slips past Extreme 7-6 in SBA Thursday League

SANDS Team SCS keeps hold of the fifth place seat in the Thursday Division of the 2017 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League after outlasting against Tasha’s Extreme 7-6 last Thursday at Tasha’s Beer & Chicken.

It was a nail-biting game as both teams exchanged leads several times.

After splitting the opening Singles 8-Ball match 2-2, Extreme seized control sweeping the following Partners 8-Ball for the two point advantage. Team SCS quickly erased the deficit retaliating with a 3-1 run at the second Singles 8-Ball match to tie the game 5-5.

Both teams fought hard splitting the next match forcing the game down to the final Partners 8-Ball match where Team SCS’ Cobra and Jerry teamed up to claim victory 7-6.

ChowTime 8-Black Ball is still a top contender in the Thursday Division as they bagged their 162nd win over the 9Eleven Titans II 9-4.

8-Black Ball set the tone early in the game starting off with a clean four-win sweep.

Although the Titans answered back with a sweep of their own to reduce the gap within a two point reach, 8-Black Ball maintained efficiency during the second Singles 8-Ball match with a 3-1 run to hold the safe distance long enough to see victory 9-4.

The Tasha’s Wild Bills are not too far off from taking the third place seat as they earned their 140th win defeating the 9Eleven Jam Shooters 8-5.

It was the Wild Bills’ consistency that kept them in control. After opening up with a 3-1 run, they focused on staying ahead as they split the following two matches.

Despite Jam Shooters’ efforts, Wild Bills sealed the deal with a two-win sweep during the second Partners 8-Ball match 8-5.

The 9Eleven MJD Warriors had an easy win as the ChowTime BlueHaus Destroyers forfeited handing the win by default to keep them at first place with win number 163.
