BlueHaus Destroyers are Tuesday Division champions

THE Chowtime BlueHaus Destroyers claimed the championship title of the 2017 SBA Open 8-Ball League Tuesday Division after outscoring top contenders, 9Eleven Titans 9-5 during last Tuesday’s finals match held at the 9Eleven Restobar.

The Destroyers drew blood first as Roman Rodriguez and Gian Flores teamed up to overpower Titans’ Ray Matsunaga and Pat Cepeda seizing the single win. They continued to move forward as Nolan Cultura and Flores triumphed for the 2-1 run at the next Singles 8-Ball match and followed through with Cezar Sangalang and Cultura taking the second Partners 8-Ball match to lead 4-1.

The Titans did their best but only Shane Quitugua was effective. Their best run came during the third Singles 8-Ball match where Joe Villagomez, Simon Kapileo and Quitugua nipped a three-win sweep but was quickly shut down as Destroyers cleared a path straight to victory collecting two more wins triumphing 9-5.

Tasha’s Str8 Black Ball earned the third place seat of the Tuesday Division as they took down the 9Eleven Docomo Hustlers, 9-6.

It was an even battle for the first two matches as Hustlers fought back with a 2-1 run to tie the game. But as soon as Str8 Black Ball found their footing, they took the lead.

Str8 Black Ball prolong control with Mervin and Rey stepped up adding a 2-1 run of their own and stayed aggressive overthrowing the Partners 8-Ball matches to stay afloat.

The Hustlers tried to get back in the game using their individual performance to pull another 2-1 run but Str8 Black Ball stayed on their toes denying any chance of a comeback 9-6.
