Robbery in San Antonio

(Department of Public Safety) — Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in connection with a robbery incident that occurred at Batto Place in San Antonio village. On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at 10:42 p.m., police responded to the location and met with the victim, a 28-year-old Asian male.

The victim said he was driving east on Batto Place, when three local men walked in front of his vehicle forcing him to stop the car. Suspect #1 jumped into the back seat and choked him from behind while restraining the victim against the driver’s seat. Suspect #2 opened the driver’s door, grabbed the victim’s cell phone and wallet from a cup holder. Suspect #2 took money from the wallet and the cell phone while the third suspect stood by the car watching the crime occur.

All three suspects ran east toward a barracks area, disappearing into the dark. The victim was unable to describe the three suspects due to poor visibility.

The items stolen included $160, an iPhone 6 and the victim’s CNMI driver’s license. The victim refused medical treatment.
