Book launching on March 21

(Press Release) — The book of three new Saipan authors: Kathleen H. Arriola, Martha C. Camacho and Sr. MaryAnn Hartmann, MMB will be officially launched and be made available this Wednesday, March 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Joeten-Daidai Social Hall in Chalan Kanoa.  Bishop Ryan P. Jimenez will present the book.

Titled “To Know and Make Known — One Woman’s Amazing Faith Journey from the Cloister to the ‘Ends of the Earth’” — the volume chronicles the life and legacy of Blessed Margarita Maria Maturana, the foundress of the Mercedarian Missionaries of Berriz (Maturana House of Prayer-Navy Hill). images

The history of “The Sister’s” presence in Saipan over the past 90 years, just celebrated on March 4, is included, as well as 20 different language translations of the Novena for the Sick Through the Intercession of Blessed Margarita.

That evening the book will be available for a suggested contribution of $15, which is just covering printing and shipping costs.  After that night copies can be obtained from the Sisters at Maturana.
