Dolphin Club Saipan Summer Fun Open Water Series set for June 2

(Press Release) — The Dolphin Club Saipan invites swimmers to join the first swim of the Summer Fun Open Water Series.

The Pau Pau Triangle swim, happening on Saturday, June 2 at 7:30 a.m. at Pau Pau Beach, will have three courses to choose from – 3.5 kilometer, 1.5 kilometer or a 50 meter course for new swimmers.

Registration starts at 6:30 a.m.

The Summer Fun Open Water Series is open to swimmers of all ages. Parental or swim team coach approval is required for minors. All swims are untimed and swim aids (fins, etc.) are welcome.

Marker buoys and kayaks will be used to guide swimmers.

Registration is $20 for non-DCS members (includes cap) and $5 for participants in 500 Sails / DCS free swim classes. Series swims are free to lifeguards with proof of certification or approval prior to registration. Payment is due upon arrival by cash or check payable to 500 Sails. Registration fees help support DCS swim events and programs, including free Adult Learn-to-Swim classes.

Dolphin Club Saipan is the water safety program of 500 Sails.

Pau Pau Triangle (three courses, 3.5K*, 1.5K, and 50m course for new swimmers)

Saturday, June 2

Registration 6:30 to 7:15 a.m.

Father’s Day Sunrise Wreck Swim (2.5K; start at beach in front of Hyatt; sunrise 5:47am)

Sunday, June 17

Registration is from 4:45 to 5:15a.m.

Start 5:30 a.m.    [low tide 4:19am – 1.2ft]

July

Eagle Ray/Pau Pau to Managaha (7.25K)

*qualifying swim of 3.5K or more required to participate in Eagle Ray, in addition, each swimmer needs their own approved kayaker as safety escort

Harvest Moon Swim – Guma Sakman (~.5K night swim; sunset 6:11pm/moonrise 6:28 p.m.)
