Are you a grieving parent?

(Press Release) — As July slowly creeps in, vacation is on the thoughts of everyone.  Where to go? What to do? How much will it cost? Although with parents who have lost a child, at any age and to any cause, the summer vacation will never feel complete without their angel.

July has been declared National Bereaved Parents Awareness Month.  This month is a time for supporting our friends and loved ones who have experienced child loss, no matter the amount of years that has gone by.  Bereaved parents can no longer plan for their child’s future or provide the everyday necessities, only be trapped in time with only the memories of their child.  The awareness we hope to bring is the mental and physical effects that grieving parents endure because of their loss.  A few examples are severe depression, mortality due to illness or suicide, or even failed marriages.

We would like to invite all bereaved parents, families and supporters of bereaved parents to join the proclamation signing of Bereaved Parents Awareness Month at the Office of the Governor on June 27, 2018 at 10 a.m.
