Tinian Disaster Recovery Center closing but help is still available

(CNMI Join Information Center) — On Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at 6 p.m., the Disaster Recovery Center or DRC on Tinian will close, but help will still be available for disaster survivors impacted by Typhoons Mangkhut and Typhoon Yutu.

After the DRC ceases operations, survivors whose homes or businesses affected by the typhoons can still get updates about applications, learn about the appeals process, or check the status of their applications by logging in to their account at or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362.  Persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability and use a TTY may call 800-462-7585. The toll-free numbers are open daily.

Although the Disaster Recovery Center on Tinian will close on Friday, Dec. 14, the Small Business Administration will open a Disaster Loan Outreach Center or DLOC at the same location.

The Disaster Recovery Center in Saipan will remain open during the following hours:

Multi-Purpose Center

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, closed

Effective Monday, December 17, 2018, the Tinian SBA DLOC will be open at the Tinian Department of Commerce.  Operating hours will be as follows:

Department of Commerce, San Jose, Tinian

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, closed

The SBA Business Recovery Center in Saipan remains open during the following hours:

Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
