Day of Acceptance

(Press Release) — Voices of the CNMI-Tinian Chapter and Team Koka are proud to announce that they will be holding a “Day of Acceptance” fundraiser at the end of the month. 

The Day of Acceptance falls on Jan. 20, a day dedicated to the social acceptance of disability and to honor the late Annie Hopkins.  She was the founder of International Symbol of Acceptance. 

The self-advocacy groups will hold a Family Fun Night on Jan. 25 for individuals with disabilities and families 21 years and under. A dinner fundraiser “Dine for Disabilities” on Jan. 26 at Pop’z Restaurant, Tinian strictly for 21 years and above will include a raffle drawing and silent auction.  If you are willing to donate for the auction, purchase dinner tickets or interested in volunteering, please contact; Monika or Mikaela Diaz.

They will also be selling “Ribbons for A Reason” at $1 each which the color of the ribbon symbolizes a certain disability.  Please contact Melissa Sanchez, Jocelyn King, Frances Diaz or Tracey Sanchez.
