Kick-off National Park Week at American Memorial Park!

(Press Release) — On Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. all are invited to join American Memorial Park in celebrating Junior Ranger Day to help kick off National Park Week.

In addition to featuring the art created by participants during the annual Art-in-the-Park program, the community is welcome to join featured artists in several art stations. There will also be a “chalk walk” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. All ages are invited to create masterpieces along portions of the park’s sidewalks in chalk. Join park partner Pacific Historic Parks as they lead this fun and interactive activity.

Youths of all ages will also have the opportunity to become Junior Rangers. Throughout the morning visit the Ranger station and pick up a Junior Ranger booklet. Those who complete the activity become American Memorial Park Junior Rangers and receive a special badge.
