The purpose of the scheduled power interruptions is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from CUC to safely replace 98 wooden poles with concrete poles at the Isley Field in Dandan. The power interruptions are part of CUC and FEMA's water system mitigation program aimed at hardening and strengthening the power distribution system that supplies power to the water wells located at the Isley Field in Dandan.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.
