Generator and batteries stolen from cellphone antenna site

(DPS) — On Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at about 11:37 a.m., the Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a burglary and theft incident at Docomo cell site on Capital Hill. Officers were dispatched to the scene.

At about 11:58 a.m., officers arrived at the scene met with two Docomo employees who led officers into the cell site. At the scene officers noticed that main door into the room appeared to be forced open based on the visible scratch marks and paint chips. The two individuals stated that one black and red colored, 7500-kilowatt Briggs and Stratton branded generator, and eight 12-volt, red and white colored, North Star branded batteries had been stolen from inside the small storage room.

Officers learned that at about 7:45 a.m., a security company in Guam received an activated door alarm at the cell site and called a designated representative on Saipan. At about 9 a.m., the two individuals received a call about the activated door alarm at the cell site. The two individuals at the time were at another site before they made their way to Capital Hill at about 11:30 a.m. After a quick inspection of the site the individuals called 911 for police assistance.
