KHS advisory

(Press Release) — Dear Kagman High Stakeholders:

Thank you for your patience with our power situation over the last few weeks. We anticipate the power will be restored this week. We will resume regular office hours at that time.

We are still receiving registrations for the School Year 19-20. It would be best if registration is submitted by the end of this week, August 23, 2019, especially if you are transferring from another high school. Student schedules will not be released after orientation unless registration is complete. If you are a bus rider, please be sure to submit your bus forms in addition to the registration and other documents. Free and reduced meal applications are no longer required as the district serves two meals a day to all students attending public schools.

Please note the KHS campus will be closed from 11:30 to 1 p.m. on Monday August 19, 2019 so that staff can attend a working lunch session off campus.

Please note the following upcoming events in preparation for the opening of the school year:

  • • Monday, August 19, 2019 — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. KHS student leadership summit. KHS student council class representatives and STUCO leadership.
  • • Tuesday to Friday, August 20-23 2019, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., KHS campus cleanup. KHS is welcoming community volunteers to assist in the opening of the school year. Bring your waterblasters, weed-wackers, tree trimmers, rakes and mowers. We will provide gasoline, some supplies and refreshments for your service and support to help us ready the campus for opening day! Come one day or come all days! Bring your friends and be brabu!

Orientation is a mandatory meeting for parents/guardians and students to get updated information about the school, procedures and rules and plans for the year. Stakeholders who attend these meetings receive raffle tickets for every event and engagement they participate in during the school year. Raffles are conducted during the event and tickets are kept and collected all year to be re-raffled at the end of the school year big event sponsored by the Kagman schools PTSA. Student schedules will be distributed after the orientation.

  • • Thursday, August 29, 1-2 p.m. @KHS café, Grade 10 and 11 Orientation
  • • Thursday August 29, 2:30-3 p.m. @KHS café, Grade 9 Orientation
  • • Friday, August 30, 1-2 p.m. @KHS café, Grade 12 Orientation. Parents/guardians who attend this meeting and other exclusive senior activities will earn credit towards earning parts of the graduation package — diploma cover, tassel, etc., free by graduation. Attend this first exclusive meeting in partnership with NMC to find out the details!
