Suntinday department store robbed

(DPS) — On Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at about 9:55 a.m., the Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a robbery incident at the Suntinday department store in Chalan Kanoa. Officers were dispatched to the scene.

At about 9:59 a.m., officers arrived on scene and met with the caller. The caller stated that she was near the main entrance when a young male individual pulled a knife and demanded money from her. The suspect is described as medium built, approximately 5’6, wearing a black hoodie with a pink logo printed on front, with gray short pants.

The victim began to walk toward the cash register while the suspect followed behind closely holding a knife. The victim removed the tray from the cash register and placed it on the counter.

The suspect grabbed the cash from the tray and told the victim, “Don’t go out, if you go out I’m going to kill you.” The suspect exited the building and fled south.
