Tourist robbed at hotel

(Press Release) — Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help regarding a robbery incident that occurred at the Aqua Resort hotel in Achugao. At about 9:07 p.m. a police officer was in the area when security approached him stating a tourist just had her purse snatched.

Police learned the victim, a 31-year-old Asian female was at the beach having a meal when she was approached by a young local male, one of three suspects. The suspect greeted the victim and raised his hand to “high five” the victim. As the victim lifted her arm, a second suspect came up behind her and snatched her purse off the victim’s arm. All three suspects ran toward the dark area of the beach and disappeared.

Suspect #1 is described as local male, skinny, brown t-shirt, black shorts, dark blue hat with a red visor. Suspect #2 is described as a local male white tank top shirt, black short pants and dark baseball cap. Suspect #3 is described as a local male, red t-shirt, and black short pants. All three suspects are teenagers.

Items stolen include:

• Beige weaved designed hand bag

• Gray wallet with coins and cash $150

• Samsung J7 cell phone worth $600

• Assorted make up

• Off spray

• Hotel room key
