ONE patient is staring at a black piece of film with obscure figures and what is supposed to be a skeletal representation of his mouth and teeth. Unless the dentist tells him anything about it, he remains in the dark about what’s going on inside his mouth.

To identify problems in your teeth or mouth, the traditional way is through a dental x-ray or radiograph which takes a picture of your teeth, bones and the surrounding soft tissues.

No candy means ‘I love you’

HE scene unfolds inside a grocery store where a five-year-old boy is seen picking up a bag of candy from a shelf and putting it in his mother’s cart. His mom shakes her head and returns the candy to the shelf. A battle ensues between mother and boy, with the mother firmly saying no and the boy, defeated, is left with nothing to do but cry and sulk.

IF 90 percent of all the families in the United States would resort to exclusive breastfeeding for six months in compliance with the medical recommendations, the nation can save an estimated $13 billion a year and prevent over 911 deaths each year, 95 percent of which would be infants.
