TO encourage more people to study at Northern Marianas College, some of its students shared their academic life experiences on campus with information session participants last week.
“The college thoroughly prepares its students for a teaching career with a curriculum that constantly incorporates lesson plan preparation into just about every activity or project,” said Amber Mendiola, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education student.
She expressed her gratitude to the faculty for always “being there to see [students] go through.”
Joe Tudela, a sophomore, said “attending NMC has been a great experience for him.”
Associated Students of NMC President Miles Rodriguez and fellow students Jeff Kaipat, Daniel Kintol and Mia Jones also shared their experiences.
Over 100 participants attended the last free information session NMC held in 2009.
The English and math placement fees as well as the admissions application fee, totaling $75, will be waived for spring enrollees who attended the session.
Those interested in enrolling for the spring semester are encouraged to attend the next information session on Jan. 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on campus.
Participants will also receive personal assistance in filling out forms and financial aid documents.
