Representatives of JTB, H.I.S., Nissin Air Service, KNT, Tour Wave, and Asiana Airlines took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about Saipan so they can better sell the destination.

While on island, the tour group conducted hotel inspections of Aqua Resort Club Saipan, Kensington Hotel Saipan, Grandvrio Resort Saipan, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Pacific Islands Club, Saipan World Resort, Kanoa Resort, and Hyatt Regency Saipan, where they lodged.

“Asiana Airlines provides very convenient one-stop service from Fukuoka, Japan, to the Marianas via Seoul, and this fam tour was intended to further capitalize on that opportunity,” said MVA marketing manager Thomas Kim. “A small but important number of Japanese have been visiting the Marianas via this route, and we are looking forward to the arrival of more Japanese this year as the market revives.”

The group also participated in various activities available on island, including a submarine tour with Pacific Subsea, shopping at T Galleria by DFS, Joyful Dinner show at Fiesta Resort, dinner at Barefoot Beach BBQ, and visits to Rufina Tropical and Surf Club. Sites visited included the Northern Marianas Museum of History & Culture, Mt. Tapochao, Banzai Cliff, Last Command Post, and Managaha, where they had the opportunity to experience introductory scuba diving, parasailing, and banana boating.
