ISAIAH Aleksenko and Aoi Braxton topped the charts once again in the 1500m distance race as they finished first in their respective divisions during the third event of the Saipan Swim Club Triple Crown Open Water Swim Series on Saturday at the Guma Sakman beach.
In the male division, Aleksenko led from start to finish. After clearing three laps, the 15-year-old crossed the finish line with a time of 19:25.92.
In second place was Kean Pajarillaga who clocked 20:47.85 followed by Kouki Watanabe with a time of 21:39.80.
Completing the top five list were Jacoby Winkfield who timed in at 24:42.14 and Gary De Guzman at 25:37.98.
In the female division, Aoi Braxton, who is the youngest swimmer in the competition, claimed the top spot by completing the course with a time of 23:07.32.
It was a tough battle as Julia Jinang stuck close behind throughout the three laps, eventually settling for second place with a time of 23:18.10.
Ayumi Obligancion took third place with a finish time of 25:53.91. In fourth place was Yulia Aleksenko timing at 30:17.90 while Kerri Bauer was fifth at 31:39.15.
In the 1000m distance, Moshe Sikkel and Maria Batallones bagged the top spots.
Sikkel led the male division, rounding both laps with a time of 14:01.14 followed by Andrew Nunez with a time of 14:36.17 and Michael Miller in third with a time of 14:59.66. Justin Ma settled for fourth place with a finish time of 15:03.51 while Nelson Batallones was fifth at 16:58.98.
In the female division, Maria Batallones excelled by clocking in at 13:55.66. Sari Barman and Jessica Ma fought for second place with Barman clocking at 16:24.32 while Ma came in third at 16:58.07. Michelle Chen was fourth at 18:06.92 while Nagi Takahashi settled for fifth place at 22:11.72.
In the 500m race, Shuman Barman and Nagisa Litulumar earned gold medals.
Barman completed the course with a time of 8:00.65 while Richard Zhao strayed closely behind and ended up in second place by clocking at 8:15.55. Zhao was followed by Siwoo Lee at 9:21.93 and Adam Walsh at 14:36.33.
In the female division, Nagisa Litulumar bagged first place with a time of 8:19.03 to beat Kaya Braxton who clocked at 8:20.01. Maria Guerrero finished third with a time of 8:24.14 while Arielle Matutino placed fourth at 8:50.25 and Kris Quickprint completed the top five at 15:05.33.
