MORE sponsors are lending a hand to the Rotary Club of Saipan’s fundraising Goodwill Golf Tournament which is set for Saturday, Nov. 13 at Coral Ocean Golf Resort with a 6 a.m. showtime.
Besides Triple J Motors Saipan, Equitable Insurance and USA Panther Construction are also sponsoring the event, Rotary Foundation Director Das Krishnan said.
Triple J Motors Saipan donated a 2021 Hyundai Palisade for a hole-in-one prize on hole #3 while Equitable Insurance and USA Panther Construction donated $10,000 each for hole-in-one prizes.
“I’m very thankful for them,” Krishnan said, adding that the cost of the car from Triple J is $50,000.
Besides the hole-in-one prizes, Krishnan said those who will join the golf tournament are also helping the Rotary Club of Saipan implement its community projects and services, including food drives.
Krishnan noted that the club’s past 10 tournaments have been sold out.
He said previous tournaments were Double Peoria events, but this year, the format is medal play.
“In December, McDonald’s will hold a medal play tournament, so players can already practice for it when they join the Rotary’s event,” Krishnan added.
He reiterated that all proceeds of the Rotary tournament are “going back to the community.”
