THE body of missing fisherman Juan “John” A. Aldan was found floating close to the barrier reef west of the Garapan Fishing Base on Saturday, a Department of Public Safety official and Aldan’s relative told Variety.
Aldan, 60, was reported missing late Friday afternoon. A Garapan resident, he left home at around 1 p.m. to fish from his canoe. At 3 p.m., his family received a call and was told that Aldan was missing.
The U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Public Safety’s Boating Safety conducted a search and rescue operation at the Saipan lagoon late Friday afternoon until it was dark, and resumed it Saturday morning. This is a developing story
