JAMES and Simei Eagan have filed a civil complaint against U.S. Citizenship Immigration Services for not processing or not making any decision on their “green card” or U.S. permanent residency applications.
“Our ‘green card’ review is well outside of the defendant’s published case processing times,” according to the complaint filed on Monday in federal court.
“Our package was received by USCIS in March of 2019 and our interview was in January of 2020,” they added.
Attached to the complaint were photocopies of their case files, “which will corroborate these dates and inform the court of every detail,” the plaintiffs added.
They are asking the District Court for the NMI to issue an order compelling USCIS to take action and issue a ruling in their case, “which is now well outside of the published case processing times, as reported in our claim statement,” they added.
No other information was available regarding the case Monday afternoon.
